Winnebago River Water Trail- click hereThe trail travels a 26-mile stretch through farmland, pastures and more than 1,500 acres of parks and natural areas. The watertrail has seven mile markers along the route to keep you on track. Four well marked access points allow paddlers to put in for a short float or an all-day trip. The Winnebago River Water Trail is jut one of over 20 existing or planned water trails across Iowa. By the end of June, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will have recognized about 600 miles of water trails, with another 800 miles in development. |
