Looking for a great summer paddling event for kayakers and canoers? The Paddles Up Niagara 2009 paddling event in New York State is the perfect antidote to the summer heat – a cool paddle along the Niagara River Greenway.

This year’s event date is July 25, 2009 at Beaver Island State Park, Grand Island, New York.

Take in the breathtaking scenery of the Niagara River from your kayak or canoe. Enjoy a leisurely paddle through the marshes and shallows of the mighty Niagara and earn bragging rights at the same time.

A paddlesports trade show takes place during the morning hours and a sumptuous lunch is available for purchase compliments of the Grand Island Historic Society.
