Kayak, Canoe, Paddle Race to Benefit Nyack, New York Homeless & Red Cross
2nd Annual Hook Mountain Challenge takes place on September 18, 2011.
The Hook Mountain Challenge, a paddle race from Nyack Memorial Park to Hook Mountain allows experienced paddlers, their friends, and families to enjoy a leisurely and fun afternoon in this beautiful Hudson Valley Region and give back to those in need.
The event benefits the Red Cross of Greater New York and the Nyack Homeless Project.
About the Nyack Homeless Project:
The Nyack Homeless Project, Ltd. is a non-profit, 5013c non-sectarian volunteer group that encourages adults, children and teens to make a difference by involving them with their communities to gather donations to feed and clothe men, women, families and children in need in Rockland County and New York City during the cold days of winter. They are committed to help as many people as possible without thought of remuneration, politics, or gratitude. In 2010 The NHP fed and clothed over 6500.
