Peace River Paddle

February 17-20, 2012

According to their website:

The Peace River Paddle is a three day, 42 mile paddle along the Peace River Canoe Trail, which is part of Florida’s statewide trail system managed by the Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection Office of Greenways and Trails.

The Peace River is a serene, slow moving river isolated from civilization. Paddling is between high banks and round sweeping curves among tiny islands.

Registration Deadline: February 3, 2012

 

Annual Everglades Paddle-In

February 11, 2012

7 am – 4 pm paddle-in

Chokoloskee, FL 34138

 

According to their website:

The Annual Everglades Paddle-In is a casual event to bring together paddlers for a day of family oriented fun.

Paddle with the assistance of the tidal current to a beach site on “Indian Key” in Indian Key Pass. You should allow 1 1/2 to 2 hrs for the paddle but that depends on your pace.

Admission: Free – donation accepted. This year’s beneficiary will be the Friends of Fakahatchee.
