Mississippi Kayak, Canoe, Human-Powered Watercraft Regatta

Gator Bait Paddlers 1st Annual Reservoir Regatta Benefiting Barnet Reservoir Foundation is an event for racers and recreational paddlers alike.

Race Fee $20.00 – Fee will include T shirt and Swag Bag

Schedule of race day events:

7:00 AM – 8:30 AM Registration Check in.
9:00 AM Captains Meeting
9:30 AM Start the Recreation Boats
10:00 AM Start the Racing Boats
2:30 PM Awards Ceremony

The Gator Bait Reservoir Regatta is a 9 mile open water race across the Reservoir and back. The Race Benefits the Barnett Reservoir Foundation. Participants will row or paddle or pedal small boats in the reservoir starting from Pelahatchie Shore Park across the Reservoir and back.

This is a three day racing festival.

Sprint Races 200m & 500 m, Thursday, July 28, 2011

Mid-distance – 1000 m & 5k, Friday July 29, 2011

Distance- 10 mile race, Saturday, July 30, 2011

Plus a free 2k Recreational fun/fitness paddle, Saturday July 30, 2011

K1 & K2, C1 & C2, Quads, juniors, open, master, men, women & mixed.

The regatta is open to all paddlers, from all states and countries.

The entire course runs along the canal bike path with excellent spectator viewing.

Biathlon (5k run/5k paddle)
