The race starts at the Jonathan Dickinson Park- Boat Ramp Area.

Paddlers have three paddle courses to choose from:

Short Course – One mile recreational paddle

Medium Course – Six mile loop

Long Course – Twelve mile loop

This race is open to all canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards.

The 9th Annual Back to the Chattahoochee River Race & Festival

Saturday, June 11, 2011.

According to their website:

The race course begins at Garrard Landing Park on Holcomb Bridge Road and ends at Riverside Park in Roswell, GA.

There are:

Open and recreational categories

Various age divisions

Solo and tandem canoe divisions

Kayak and sea kayak divisions

The ten- mile course is for competitive racers and the eight- mile course is for recreational paddlers. Both race courses include Class I-II rapids.

The free family friendly Festival is at Riverside Park and starts at 10am.

Registration opens April 8th.
