The Outdoorsman Triathlon is the oldest continuously running triathlon in the United States.
There is a 1 mile swim, 4 mile run and 8 mile paddle (canoe) down the Little Tennessee River.
The individual competition is held on Saturday, September 24th and the three person relays (1 swimmer, 1 runner, 1 paddler) are held on Sunday, September 25th.
There are numerous spectator spots for viewing the race.
